Our Promise of Quality and Care

We are heart-led and deeply committed to providing the very best support for every baby, child, and young person in our family. To make sure we are always doing our best, our dedicated team of care professionals holds themselves to the highest possible standards. Guiding us is our Safeguarding & Quality Committee. This group of experts—from social workers and teachers to residential specialists—works closely with our Board of Directors, to ensure our systems are always strong and safe. Beyond just following the law, our Quality and Compliance team strives to go above and beyond national standards, ensuring that every child in our care isn't just safe, but truly looked after.

Keeping Our Children Safe Together. Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a responsibility we all share with love and vigilance. If your heart tells you something is wrong, please follow these steps:

  • Reach out: Immediately talk to our Safeguarding Lead or Social worker. They are there to listen and help.
  • Keep a record: Note down your worries and share them with the Safeguarding Lead so we have a clear picture of how to help.
  • In an emergency: If you feel someone is in immediate danger, please call 999 straight away to get the help they need.
  • Follow the path: Follow dmf's Safeguarding Policy and Procedure to ensure the best outcome.
  • Be their voice: Please never assume someone else has spoken up. Your voice could be the one that makes the difference.

How our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) supports you:
The DSL is a supportive guide who will:

  • Listen to your concerns and offer gentle advice and direction.
  • Carefully handle situations where a professional’s conduct may have caused worry, ensuring the Designated Officer (LADO) is involved to keep children safe.
  • Ensure the right authorities and inspectorates are informed so that every child remains protected.

A Foundation of Safety - building brighter tomorrows."
